The IT environment of companies today is developing at a rapid pace, and so it is crucial that the storage and archiving environment corresponds with the needs and requirements of the business.
The business must know that developments are supported by a stable, customised IT environment. For its part, the IT department needs to maintain a good overview and knowledge of the systems so as to know whether to invest in completely new systems or to develop and adjust existing systems. Investing in the wrong storage system can be expensive, resulting in slow applications and unhappy users. IT operations will take more time, and employees will end up having to spend more time resolving problems that would not have existed had the correct storage system been selected in the first place. Proact has been working with analyses since 1994.
Proact analysis services are intended to assure functionality and performance, but are also designed to allow preparation for future situations. The storage environment is investigated and analysed, and advantages and deficiencies are documented. Proact reviews and assesses all existing procedures and presents a proposal on what should be changed in order to achieve better performance and scalability and less administration, as well as looking at the way in which new technologies can be used in the existing environment. The analysis produces a report that is presented both verbally and in writing in accordance with the agreed schedule.
