Proact to virtualise Cinnober test environment for new stock exchange system

Archive and storage specialists Proact have supplied a VMware-based server platform to Cinnober Financial Technology. This will allow Cinnober to carry out functional testing on its IT-based stock exchange systems on a virtual platform.

Proact growing in the Baltic States

Storage and archiving specialist Proact is making inroads into the Baltic States and recently commenced operations in Estonia. Five members of staff have been recruited, and already the new office has been awarded a number of contracts. This initiative is all part of Proact’s expansion in Northern Europe, and the objective is to make Proact into the biggest independent storage and archiving specialist in Northern Europe.

National Property Board maintains control over information with new archive

The National Property Board, SFV, has invested in a new archive platform in order to maintain control over the organisation’s huge information volumes and reduce its storage and backup costs. Proact archiving solution preserves Swedish flora and fauna

Archive and storage specialists Proact have been working on behalf of the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (Statens lantbruksuniversitet, or SLU) to build an archiving solution for storing images and information on all of Sweden’s flora and fauna. This solution is central to what is known as the Swedish species project, which is being implemented on behalf of the Government, with Crown Princess Victoria as its patron.

Forma Publishing Group, owned by Hakon, is placing full responsibility for its IT infrastructure on with archive and storage specialists Proact. This commission is said to be worth around SEK 7 million over three years.

Proact IT Norge AS kjøper Xperion AS

Proact IT Norge AS har inngått avtale om å kjøpe samtlige aksjer i Xperion AS. Kjøpesummen er NOK 15 mill. hvorav 11 mill i kontanter. Kjøpet vil skape det største og mest kompetente miljø innen fagområdene høytilgjengelighet, datalagring, arkivering og sikring av forretningskritisk informasjon i Norge. Samlet vil 75 medarbeidere være fokusert på å hjelpe norske kunder med rådgiving, tjenester, produkter og kurs. 15 av disse er ansatt i Xperion.

Proact commences expansion in Northern Europe

Storage and archiving specialist Proact is expanding in Northern Europe – and things have got off to a flying start. Seven new staff members have already been recruited in the Netherlands, and work has already started at the new office. At the same time, the company is looking to establish a presence in other countries as well with a view to becoming the biggest independent storage and archiving specialist in Northern Europe.
